Homework
Homework is an opportunity for children to develop their skills, further their interests and engage parents in the process. In line with Government recommendations about homework Holy Trinity has always encouraged its children to complete simple tasks at home. Homework is set to complement and extend a child’s current work within school.
In Key Stage 1 the basis of homework is reading, spellings and key number facts, the core activities. Other brief pieces of homework or research may be given from time to time. Within Key Stage 2, this includes the same as Key Stage 1 with some additional pieces. As children get older their homework will be in line with their current class work.
We expect children to complete assigned homework, especially the three core activities, and knows that it has the support of the parent body in this matter.
